Easter

We had a busy Easter weekend, we always split our time Easter weekend, so it's a lot of running, but we enjoy it! Friday afternoon we arrived at my mom and Step-dad's house. Saturday morning we took the kids to see the Easter bunny at their local mall and then back to my moms for our Easter dinner. We headed over to my grandparents about 3:15 or so on Saturday afternoon, we celebrated my cousin Courtney's 17th birthday Saturday night and Sunday morning we went to Mass at my grandparents church, I always enjoy going to their church because I love seeing so many people who I know and grew up with and it makes it even more fun because most are married now and have babies and it's fun to see their families and familiar faces. After Mass we headed back to my grandparents house, we snapped some pictures of the kids while they were still in their Easter clothes, I snapped Hazel's 9 month pictures for Amber and then we had a light breakfast and then just visited and finished preparing food for the dinner. We left later last night to get home, we decided to wait until closer to bedtime so that the kids would sleep on the way home and we could tuck them into their beds when we got home. We had a great weekend and really enjoyed our time up north, we always look forward to our visits.

Personalized Beach Towels...

My mom made these hooded beach towels for the kids for Easter. They LOVE them! So do I!! I told her she should make them and sell them on Etsy! I love that she monogrammed them all for the kids too, using letters cut out of towels from the hoods. They are so excited to use them in Duluth in a couple of weeks!
She started making hooded baby bath towels when Adeline was born, using a pattern that I had gotten from my girlfriend Jodi and she decided to make them beach towels using a half of a hand towel for a hood instead of a wash cloth like she does on the baby bath towels.

Easter Morning...

The Easter Bunny managed to find the kids at Granny and Papa's house and it appears that he treated them well. They all got new swim suits, cover-ups, flip-flops and sunglasses...just in time for us to go to Duluth Mother's Day weekend!

Decorating the bunny cake

Ever since I was a kid, my grandparents always made a bunny cake for Easter and let the grandkids and now great grandkids held decorate it. Everyone got in on the action and helped Great Papa Dave decorate the cake.

and he thought it was HILARIOUS, he couldn't stop laughing!

Easter Bunny

Saturday we went to see the Easter Bunny at "Grandma's Mall" in Fergus Falls. Addie was less than thrilled about seeing the Easter Bunny and she didn't get very close. We didn't take Stella out of her car seat as we figured she wouldn't care either way, but Amelia and Paul really wanted to see the Easter Bunny!
This was the closest Addie would get...

Another birthday celebration...

We celebrated Amelia's sixth birthday for the final time tonight. Since we didn't have a party for her this year, it's been a drawn out celebration, which she doesn't seem to mind! My mom, step-dad, Amber and Hazel all came down for Amelia's program at school and my mom brought an Oreo ice cream cake from the place my step-sis Samantha works at.

Kindergarten Program

This afternoon was Amelia's class program at school. It was all three kindergarten classes and they did a farm theme program. It was very cute to watch and lasted about a half hour. I apologize for the pictures being blurry, we were quite a ways from the stage, between the distance and the over head lighting, nothing was working well in my favor as far as taking pictures!
