One Month Old!

Adeline-the collage!
This collage includes some of my favorite professional pictures that were taken at the hospital the day after Adeline was born, we just got the disc last week.

Before heading to her 1 month check up appointment.

Adeline had her one month check up this morning. She officially weighs 10 pounds, 10 ounces and is 22-1/2 inches long. She grew 1-1/2 inches in three weeks and gained 1 pound, 9 oz in three weeks. Looks like the magical moo juice is doing it's job! She's a good little eater! The doctor was impressed with her growth!

We do have to take her to a pediatric cardiologist to have a heart murmur checked out. Our doctor had noticed it at birth and then again at her one week check up, he thought maybe it'd close by time she was a month old, but he still heard it today, he spent about 10 minutes listening to it, having me have her sitting up, laying down, in different positions so he could get a good listen on it. He decided that he wants us to go to Children's Hospital and have it checked out by the specialist, he said typically they give you an all clear, but it's nice to have a second opinion to see what is going on. He didn't seem terribly concerned about it. He said he'd have his nurse set up the appointment and that if we couldn't get in until after her two month check up and he didn't hear it at her two month check we wouldn't have to go to the specialist, but as it turns out, they were able to get us scheduled for next Friday (4/3) morning. So we'll get the kids to daycare, have Amelia miss school and then we'll head to Mpls to see the cardiologist. We didn't tell anyone about this before today, because we didn't want anyone to worry. Please keep Adeline in your prayers that all will be okay.

Adeline-1 month old!

I'm going to use her Build-a-bear that my Granny and Papa gave her for Christmas when I was pregnant to help track her growth. I wish I would have done something similar w/ Amelia and Paul. But the bear will be a good comparison and it'll be fun to watch her get to be bigger than the bear over the next 11 months!

Amelia and Paul are still doing great with their baby sister. Amelia will sit in the chair and hold her for a LONG time! It's actually kind of helpful, because she'll sit and hold her so I can fold laundry or get dinner started. So far (thankfully) she hasn't tried getting up and walking around w/ her! I'm sure that's in the not so distant future! Paul still refers to her as "Tute" aka Cute. He comes up to her and says "Oh tute." Amelia is loving playing play-doh these days, she'll sit at the kitchen table for hours on end playing play-doh. Paul likes to play too, but like most two year olds, his attention span isn't that long! He'd much rather play with his fire trucks, tow trucks or his newest interest his soccer ball. Also, he likes to pretend he's skateboarding. He'll wear a baseball cap and turn it sideways and then it's his skateboarding hat and then he shuffles to the side saying "Skate, skate, skate" I'll try and get a video and hopefully figure out how to post it here! That's all of our update for now!

5 weeks to go...

Caught on film....a rare moment for Paul! Sunday morning we were getting ready to run errands in the cities before heading to Kevin Sr and Mary's house for Kevin Sr's b-day. Kev was taking a shower, and I had just gotten the kids out of the bath, got Amelia ready to go, got myself ready to go and Paul didn't want to get dressed, he just wanted to lay on our bed in his dinosaur towel. I was getting a few things ready in the kitchen and I came back to find this....

Amelia of course, needed a picture taken of her when I took out the camera. She had to pose by her new futon. But she's looking a little distressed! Silly girl!

Comparison picture....

For the first time #1 & #3 look very similar. It's normally been #2 and #3. We still think it's a boy, but in five weeks we'll know for sure!!

Hard to imagine and believe that five weeks from today, we'll be holding our brand new tiny baby. I'm not real sure where this entire pregnancy went, but it sure went by awful quick. Kevin doesn't think so, but to me it feels like it's flown by! My last day of work before maternity leave will be Friday, February 20. That'll give me the weekend to relax before the big surgery day on the 25th. I will return to work end of May/beginning of June. Somewhere in there anyway!

The nursery is almost 100% complete. We need to tackle the closet yet, which Kevin needs to get in there and paint it, then I can organize it. We also need to find blinds still. Last Friday we picked up our futon for the den. Which is our multi-purpose room. Guest room, playroom, office all in one! It looks so much different in here with the new light fixture, paint and all of the furniture finally arranged. Still a work in progress, need to get my desk in order before any guests arrive when Baby T does!

Amelia still asks daily if it's time to go to the hospital. I keep telling her soon, in a couple weeks. And she has informed me that she wants a "Pink Princess Birthday Party", so I suppose I better get cracking on that as well!

Paul is Paul! Quite the little character around these parts! He's taken it upon himself to try using the big potty at night when he gets home from daycare or any time Amelia uses it, he needs to use it. Hopefully we can continue to progress on this whole potty training business. I'm not holding my breath, but we will see! He pooped on the potty twice last night and once tonight. And he refuses to use the swell little potty we just bought him. Go figure! Good thing we're having another baby!

On that note, I'm off to bed.
