Adeline is 8 weeks old!!

Adeline is already 8 weeks old! How crazy is that?! She'll be exactly 2 months old on Saturday. I can't wait to see how much she weighs next week at her 2 month check up. She's really getting big. She's already outgrown her 0-3 month onesies. And some of her one piece outfits are getting too short! I went through Amelia's clothes tonight from when she was a baby and some of my favorite summer outfits she had are already too small for Addie. Which is kind of a bummer! But the girl will still have a ton of clothes to wear this summer!

Sweet Baby Feet!

8 weeks old!

Here is a video of her rolling over tonight. Some may remember she rolled over a few weeks ago, but when I went to get the video camera she wouldn't do it again! Tonight I laid her on the floor for tummy time and she immediately rolled over, so I grabbed the camera (finally figured out/remembered I can take video with my camera thanks to my girlfriend Randi!)Way quicker than grabbing the video camera! She didn't roll over again when I got the camera out. So we ate dinner, played for a while, got her pj's on, fed her and then we had tummy time again, this time I made sure I turned my camera on and had it ready BEFORE I laid her on the floor. She immediately rolled over! She's turning into such a big girl already!

The 2008 West Ottertail County Relay for Life was held Friday, June 27, 2008. Despite the rain in the afternoon and the high winds during the evening. It all turned out nice. The only thing they were unable to do was light the luminaries due to the rain and then the high winds (safety issues) and they did closing ceremonies at 2:00 am, instead of 6:00. So that was kind of a bummer. But you can't control the weather.

Our theme this year was "Carrie's Crew Cruisin' for a Cure!" Thanks again to all of you who donated money to the Relay for Life, donated signs and also for allowing me to borrow Poodle Skirts! We truly appeciate it!

Thanks for your support!

Relay for Life...

First and foremost, I have to thank each and everyone of you who supported me when I did the Relay for Life. What an incredible event. I raised just shy of $300 for the American Cancer Society thanks to all of you very generous people and I sold 6 luminaries for another $60. I am very proud to say I was a part of the 2007 Relay for Life at the West Ottertail County Fairgrounds in Fergus Falls. It was a great event and I plan to participate again next year and hope to raise even more money.
It was very incredible to see all of the luminaries lit...I heard a few people say they estimated that there were 30,000 luminaries. The white ones designate someone who has lost the battle to cancer and the brown bags designate someone who survived their fight with cancer or are still fighting a courageous battle. Someday I surely hope to see a lot more brown ones than white ones. The luminaries lined the walking path.
Below are just a few pictures from the Relay. Some are ones I took and others are one's my mom's friend Carolee took.
this spelled out hope...

There were a lot of neat designs with the luminaries...including this heart... My good friend and "sister" Sara and I...this was after a LONG night staying up...I think this was taken about 5:30 a.m. as we were starting to help clean up the fairgrounds and our "campsite"
The few sole survivors of the all night event...
from Left to Right: My Aunt Roxanne, my Mom Carrie (Colon Cancer Survivor), my step-sister Sam, Stephanie (mom's friend Carolee's daughter), me, Friend/Sister Sara and Carolee (my mom's friend from High School)
We won the "Best Team Theme" award...we dressed up as pirates and won! We got a traveling trophy and hope to take it home again next year as well!
Thanks again to everyone for their support! I truly appreciate it. I can't wait to participate next year!

Sorry this update has taken me so long to get on here. It's been a crazy few weeks around here!
