Santa Claus came to town...

...on a FIREtruck! Friday night we finally got a dusting of snow again, which was perfect because Santa Claus came to town on Saturday morning! The kids got a kick out of this, once again as Santa rode around town on a fire truck alerting all the children that he was in town.

This is the third time Paul saw Santa, he's telling him
once again that he wants Transformers and Decipticons

Chrismas celebration #1

This weekend we had our first Christmas celebration of the season. We went to my mom and step-dad's for the weekend. Saturday mid-day we went to see Santa at the mall. Amelia and Paul told Santa their wishes. Paul once again asked for Transformers, autobots and decepticons and Amelia asked for a white ipod touch. Santa told them he'd see what he could do. Stella stood back from a distance and just stared at Santa, and Adeline wanted nothing to do with him and wouldn't get too close.

Paul and Addie checking out their loot.

Paul said "Look mom! I got a package."
Grandma used a USPS shipping box to wrap part of his gift!

This morning the kids and I baked cut-out cookies with my mom.
Even Stella got involved.

Fun night at school.

Paul had a parent/child night at school on Tuesday night, it was one of the requirements for parent involvement for Kindergarten Connection. I went with him and Kevin stayed home with the girls. It was fun to have some one-on-one time with Paul, which doesn't happen that often. It's sometimes difficult to split our time between 4 kids and make sure everyone gets one-on-one time, so the times we can do it, I really enjoy it. There was a visit from Santa and different activities for them to do. Paul thanked me for going with him and told me I was the best mom in the world. That sure made my day a little bit brighter!

Paul LOVES this Nutcracker at school.

They have a whole display case full of nutcrackers and he always talked about this last year when he was going to ECFE on Thursday nights and was very excited when he went to school after Thanksgiving break and saw that the Nutcracker is back. He has three nutcrackers for his bedroom, I have a feeling that's going to be something he collects over the years.
