Fourth of July Weekend, part 1

We spent the 4th of July Weekend at my Grandparents cabin. My cousin Luke was home on leave from Afghanistan, so it was the perfect time for the whole family to get together. The kids had a BLAST up there, we couldn't keep them away from the docks, Paul was in heaven fishing, as was Adeline. Amelia declared that she is "not a fishergirl, she's a swimmer." We spent as much time on the lake as possible between the pontoon and our little speed boat. The traffic getting up there was horrendous, but once we got there we were finally able to relax, well there was a little work involved at the cabin for Kevin, they were working on putting the new siding on it this year after they put a new garage on the cabin last summer. The cabin was a foreclosure so it needed a little TLC and updating. I think it's by far one of my favorite places! We're taking a family vacation there with our friends Ryan and Katie at the beginning of August and we're thankful for my Grandparents for allowing us to use the cabin!

I'm splitting this weekend into a couple of posts because I took a TON of pictures last weekend!

Trio Robot

I know I've said it before, but Paul LOVES his Trio blocks, he is always building something with them. He's built a Ferry boat, which I'm still kicking myself for not taking a picture of, it was pretty rockin', a sword, multiple other things and his newest creating was the Trio Robot. He amazes me with his creativity!

Bullhead Days Pedal Pull

Back in June Paul participated in the Bullhead Days Pedal Pull. He thought it was really fun, but was disappointed that he didn't get a trophy. He did get a can of Dr Pepper, which like his mom, is now his favorite and a ribbon. He can't wait to do another one!

dork...

My Paul...has his own fashion sense somedays! We were getting ready to go get Amelia and Kevin's hair cut and I had him change his clothes because he was dirty from playing outside...this is what he came down wearing. I love that kid, even if his clothes don't match, and for the record, I just let him wear it!

Piggy tails...

Not the best quality picture, but you can still see how cute her piggy tails are...her hair is finally long enough for pig tails!

Tuckered out...

I'm finding all sorts of my favorite pictures that I haven't posted yet, so look out for more!

My happy girl...

She loves pulling up on EVERYTHING!
