Addie's Birthday Party

We had Adeline's 2nd birthday party last Saturday, we had a Cat in the Hat themed party, I kind of did just a basic Dr Seuss themed party, but focused on the Cat in the Hat because she loves "Cat in Hat" and "Fish".

I counted on Saturday the number of kids at her birthday party and we ended up with 17 kids, 3 months old to 13 years old, 18 if you include my cousin Courtney who is almost 17. It was busy, but all of the kids had a great time and enjoyed playing together!

I made most of the decorations myself including the cupcake toppers. Kevin's mom ordered the cupcakes from Cub Foods.

I cut pages out of old Dr Seuss books that Mary picked up at Savers for super cheap and I strung them on ribbon and made my own banners.

Party Guests.
Our friend Megan with her babies, Ryan and Kaelyn.
Kaelyn is 9 days younger than Adeline, it's still hard to believe our babies are 2, I can still remember like yesterday that Megan, Kelly and I all found out we were pregnant and our due dates were all within a week of each other!

My Godson Jameson or as my kids call him Jaysmon,
he wouldn't look at me so I could take his picture!

Auntie Amber and cousin "Bock Hazel"

Opening her gifts!
We got her a fish aquarium for her bedroom, she's clearly excited about her new fish!

Trying out her new trike from Grandma Mary and Papa Ron

My mom made her Thing 2 shirt for her birthday party, it turned out so cute! Thanks mom!

Blowing out her candles!

The three musketeers....Pauly, Clare and Adeline
Paul says he's going to marry Clare when he gets older.
We'll see what happens!
The birthday girl had a great birthday! Thank you to everyone who helped her celebrate and to those of you who remembered her with a card or a gift, she's a very lucky girl to have such wonderful people in her life!

Warning: picture overload!

You've been warned! This post is pretty picture heavy! Since it's been a while, I had quite a few pictures to post!
The kids got Pillow Pets for Valentine's Day from Grandma and Grandpa K. and were trying to take a nice picture of the 4 of them before church to send to Grandma Mary...notice who's missing?!

Amelia was home sick from school on Valentine's day, she was running a fever and had a sore throat, so she camped out on the living room floor for part of the day and watch movies.

Stella modeling one of my Stella Adelia & Co. headband sets!

Addie thought she needed to try it out too!

Enjoying our heart shaped homemade pizza on Valentine's Day!

I just love this picture!

She always tries to eat the lady bug on her play mat!

My cousin Britta and Addie at my Grandparents house Presidents weekend. This was the first time Addie has ever played outside in the winter!

Sledding!

Amelia and Addie sledding in Papa Dave's ice fishing sled!

All bundled up!

Zoo trip!

A few weeks ago, on the 12th of February we went to the MN Zoo with our friends Matt, Kelly, Logan and Rylee. We both have zoo memberships, which works great when you just want to make a quick little trip to the zoo! We were there for a few hours and the kids had a blast playing and seeing the sights together. There is still so much to see at the zoo in the winter too. Most people just assume that the zoo is closed in the winter, but you can see the whole indoor part of the zoo, you can also walk outdoors if you so desire or you can ride the monorail.

We love our zoo membership, before we had a membership when we'd go to the zoo we felt we'd have to stay for the entire day after spending the money on the admission fees. Now with our membership, we have it paid for basically in two visits, which makes it worth while. I would recommend a zoo membership to anyone with young children! They are running a special right now and if you purchase a membership and use my name as your referral, we'll both receive $5 in Zoo Bucks to spend anywhere at the zoo! I'm still spending Zoo Bucks from last year when we referred Matt and Kelly to the zoo. Check out this page for more info about obtaining your own zoo membership!

Now for the adorable pictures!

Paul and my Godson Logan...they are 6 weeks apart in age.

Addie, Logan and Paul watching the turtles

Addie and Rylee...Addie is 3 days older than Rylee. These two were so cute together chasing each other and having a good 'ol time together!

Stella taking it all in!

Addie ducking coming out of the tunnel by the flamingos, she's short enough to walk right through it, but all the bigger kids coming in and out were ducking, so did she!

Addie's first haircut!

Adeline got her first haircut on her 2nd birthday, thanks to my good friend Katie for making a house call and making sure her hair no longer had a tail before her birthday party!

Here is a before picture...this is the best I could find, I forgot to take one before her haircut.

Katie got her all situated on the island with a powdered sugar donut...whatever works right? Because all she wanted was for Katie to hold her, she sat so nice once she had her donut!

Much better! Nice and straight across the back and no more tail!
Thanks Katie! You're the best!

Happy 2nd Birthday Adeline Mae!

I can hardly believe my sweet sassy little girl is two already! Where has the time gone? I think she has grown up so fast because she was only 18 months when Stella was born and 10 months when I got pregnant with Stella. Amazing how those new babies can make your other babies seem like giants so quick! Here are a few pics, birth to two!

Yes, my sweet little girl is missing one of her front teeth. We had a bit of a freak accident happen. Back in October we were walking home from church and she was running ahead of us, Paul went to stop her and grabbed ahold of her backpack and she fell and face planted into the sidewalk. Of course it happened the same day we were headed to my Godson Jameson's 2nd birthday party, she had a huge fat bloody lip. I tried looking at her tooth then, as did her Godmother Randi, who is also a dental assistant, neither of us could get a real good look at it. But the next day once the swollen lip went down a bit I could see her tooth a little better and it looked like she had just scrapped her tooth, I kept my eye on it and I think in November I checked it again and then I could see a hair-line vertical fracture, but it wasn't loose. Fast forward to the beginning of December and I was brushing her teeth and checked it again and this time it was loose. So I e-mailed one of my former bosses and he recommended that I bring her in and have it checked over. I brought her in, and the doctor didn't get a real good look at it because she wouldn't really open her mouth for him, he did give me a mouth mirror and it I was able to get a look at the lingual (tongue side) of it and could see the fracture was all the way through. He told me to just watch it since I knew what to look for and that we'd probably have it pulled when she was closer to three. This was at the beginning of December when I took her in. In February, it was REALLY loose and she was starting to bite on the lose piece and Kevin was afraid she'd aspirate it and asked me if I would just pull it out, so he held her and I pulled it out in less than 2 seconds, she cried just a tiny bit. The other piece still seemed stable at that time, so the following day I called the office and talked to Dr Smyth and told him that I pulled it and he said to continue watching it. Well last Friday before we were going out of town the piece that was still in there had shifted to her mid-line, so I pulled that piece as well, so now she looks like a little red-neck missing that tooth! The root still remains under the gums as it appears that the tooth fractured vertically first and also at the gumline. The root will resolve when the permanent one forms more and starts to push down. It never seemed to bother her. Kevin said she looks really mean now that she's missing that tooth!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl! We love you!

It's been a while...

It's been a while since I've posted pictures of the kids and since I'm trying to clean-up all the pictures on the laptop and get them organized so I can back them up on the external hard-drive and I came across some cute pictures that I haven't shared! I currently dislike Facebook's picture downloading system, so I've only been posting pictures here! Most of them you will notice are of Adeline. Because currently she is my ham, whenever I have the computer out, immediately she looks at me, smiles and says "CHEESEBURGER!" So enjoy!

Yesterday I couldn't find her and she was being pretty quiet, so I was looking around for her. Well Amelia currently is sleeping on the bottom bunk since Addie is still in her crib, she asked to sleep on the bottom. No biggie. But as you can see...she sleeps with a LOT of stuff! These days Addie is big into picking out her own clothes, and she loves to throw on hats and say she's "Santa Claus" or she's going shopping, etc. She's very imaginative for her age, which I love, she keeps me on my toes all the time! Anyway, she blended in with the bed. She was laying down, but by time I grabbed the camera she was already sitting up!

Peeking over the top of my computer while I was doing some paperwork!

Baby Stella! We're still not sure what color her eyes are going to be, I'm almost positive that they aren't going to be blue. They actually look a little hazel and have brown specs in them, hopefully she'll have brown eyes like her big brother! She's still sweet as ever!

This is Amelia on the morning of her spring pictures, she's modeling on of my tutus for my Etsy Shop-Stella Adelia, she happened to have a 2 hour late start, so I had her try this on for me before heading to school so I could get a couple pictures for my website!
When we were up north for my niece's Baptism in December, we picked up my Grandpa's old snowmobile from my Grandma's house. We plan to restore it, but for now, it's running. It's an old Skidoo TNT 440 or something or other...don't ask me! I'm not real sure. It hasn't run in almost 30 years, and when we hosted all of my family for Christmas in January, some of them got a chance at riding it around. Kevin is giving Amelia a ride while we were waiting for all of our company to arrive.
This is Pauly and Addie after his Lego Duplo order arrived, he cashed in his piggy bank and saved his Christmas money to buy these Duplos, he's been busy with them ever since!

Hopefully I'll have more pictures to post soon!
