Happy Birthday Papa Matt!

Today is my Dad's 47th birthday. Happy Birthday Punky! We love you!

We celebrated my dad's birthday and Father's Day, last Sunday. We had the pleasure of entertaining my dad and Mary Jo for the afternoon/evening. We enjoyed the beautiful weather out on the back patio, grilled some steaks and had birthday cake. We hadn't seen my dad for a while and when we have seen him, it's been because he's been hear working on our house! So it was nice to enjoy a day with him and be able to kick back and relax. He got a kick out of watching the kids run around the backyard and he got to witness many of Adeline's daring tricks, including climbing the Little Tikes slide and standing up on top of it and waving.

16 months

Can you say Sassy Girl?? This girl is 100% sass! And I love every minute of it! She keeps me on my toes, even more so than Paul does!


Adeline had her 15/16 month check up yesterday, she weighed 26.2 pounds and was 32-1/4 inches tall, not sure how much she grew since her 12 month check up, but she's getting tall, she's not looking as chunky as she once did, she's stretching out and slimming down! She's a busy lady. Sunday afternoon/evening my dad and Mary Jo came down for dinner to celebrate Father's Day and my dad's birthday and she was all over the backyard, showing off all her tricks for Papa! She climbed to the top of the little tikes slide and stood up and started waving both arms. Almost gave me a heart attack! I talked to my dad on Monday and he said he kept having dreams of her climbing everything, he said he's never seen a kid that age climb so much. She gives Paul a run for his money that's for sure!

28 weeks

Last Thursday I hit the 28 week mark, this pregnancy has been flying by! I also had my 28 week check up with my doctor. Everything is looking great so far, her heart rate was 145 beats per minute and my blood pressure was 113/67, apparently I was cool as a cucumber, I felt worked up going into my appointment because I was also having my glucose test done and I always get nervous that I'll have to do the three hour test. My doctor left me a message on Friday morning that I passed, so that was good news. I go back to see my doctor on the 8th of July and then two weeks after that we'll schedule an appointment with my OB to schedule the c-section. Can't believe it's getting closer to the end!

Daddy's helper

Kevin got a load of black dirt on Monday and finally had a chance on Thursday night to spread it in the backyard. He was filling in holes from moving the fence, ruts from the bobcat from last summer when we poured our patio and general low spots in the yard. The kids were hot to help him, Paul just wanted to ride in the bobcat with Kevin. Amelia, who is generally afraid of noises, decided she wanted to ride in the bobcat too, both Kevin and I were very surprised that she wanted to ride with him to haul the dirt from the front yard to the backyard. She also was giving him a hand in loading the bobcat once he was no longer able to scoop the dirt up without spreading the pile everywhere. Please ignore her messy dirty clothes, I don't put the kids in good clothes for daycare!



She's a good little helper! After she got done helping Kevin, she took a shower and then helped me to make a cake for dessert for Friday night. I love that girl!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day! After Mass today, we took Kevin to Mankato and out for lunch at "The Piggy Place" aka Famous Dave's.  Here are some pictures from the day....

...13 more to go! Crazy how quick this pregnancy is flying by!

Reality is starting to kick in a it's hard to believe in about 13 weeks we'll be a family of 6! How crazy is that?! Adeline has been little Miss Personality lately, so I can only imagine what September's new arrival will bring! Amelia is very excited that we're having another girl and Paul is coming around to the idea too, which is exciting. We have a name picked out, but y'all will have to wait until September. My mom and grandma were down for the weekend and we went shopping at Medford Outlets on Saturday after I got my haircut and I bought our baby girl a few outfits as did my mom. Can't wait for her arrival and for her to be able to wear them! Got some SUPER deals on these outfits, plus got a few items for Amelia for the fall when she starts kindergarten. Figured as long as I can find cute things on clearance I might as well stick a few things away for school.

My sister and I are both pregnant. She is due July 3rd, and is about 10 weeks ahead of me. We had her baby shower over the weekend and today I took some maternity pics for her and when we were done my dad took some on his camera and my aunt took some on mine. Here are a couple of pictures that my dad took. I think it'll be fun to have these in the future since most likely we'll never be pregnant together again.
